Designing your own custom rug is easy to do!
The following steps will guide you through the process and variety of options. All materials should be purchased and delivered to our warehouse for fabrication. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
Select your field carpet - Area rugs can be made from a broad range of styles and textures. Purchase your carpet from any manufacturer's range of woven or broadloom products. Our craftsmen are also skilled with hand-knotted, hand-woven, oriental rugs, flatweaves, sisal and seagrass.
Choose a border – Borders are a nice way to frame an area rug. Select from a variety of edge treatments available for custom rugs, such as twill cotton binding, velvet, leather, suede or tapestry, in a variety of widths. See our Wide Binding for customizing your rug with borders.
Tailor the edge – We have several unique options for bound area rugs that range from simple machine binding to subtle tailored finishes in a wide range of custom colors. Go to our Binding & Edgings to view these options.
Select a pad – It is important to use a non-skid pad under your new rug. In addition to keeping the rug from shifting, padding provides a softer feel under foot and extends the life of the rug. See our Rug Pads to view your selections.
